xWallDock for better charging your Apple devices
xWallDock provides the user a small charger and a short USB cable. You now get the possibility of redesigning your own charging station. It’s worth being mentioned because it copes with the Apple devices that use the 30 pin connector, namely from iPod Nano to iPad.
The accessory is still a project and will enter KickStarter in September for raising the necessary funds. So, you can charge your Apple device and still work on it, writing emails or even making FaceTime conferences. With an average dock connector you wouldn’t be able of taking full advantage of your device, but now with xWallDock you could use it at full strength, standing still in front of you.
The idea of an XWallDock came from the developer’s personal experience, from the need of charging devices when the rest of the family was already doing so. The accessory will hopefully be available in single and double rectangular outlet and also single and double round style outlets.
Get set for making a pledge and helping the developer accomplish his project pretty soon on KickStarter.
We designed the xWallDock to be easily installed and without the need to internally wire it. It has an internal printed circuit board which will get connected to the charger in the outlet via micro USB short cable on the bottom end and act as a pass thru to the device.
The xWallDock will simply screw in where the old faceplate was. By using the supplied charger and a short pigtail USB cable you will have a wall mounted charging dock.
