How to remove Dock Icons in OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)
The traditional way of removing app icons on Mac OS X consists in grabbing an icon and dragging it away from the Dock into a poof of dust so the icon will not appear on the Dock anymore. We provided 2 ways of removing Dock Icons in the latest generation of OS X, namely OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.
- Click on an icon and afterwards drag it away 5 cm from the Dock and then release when the poof icon has appeared
- Just drag and drop the Dock icon in the Trash
The last procedure could be very easily used for removing apps, folders, shortcuts and so on and so forth. It’s the easiest way of getting rid of an app that you don’t use any more. Check the video below for a better perspective over the removing process.
