Jobs’ Biopic – The Indian Spiritual Experience
The expected movie about Apple’s Former CEO is heading through the final events in Jobs’ life. Latest scenes from the movie have highlighted the LSD experience in his life and the time spent at the Apple Garage. The places that have been used for the biopic are Los Altos, the place where Apple’s co-founder used to grew up. Now he will be shooting in Uttar Pradesh, Agra and Jharkhand.
Known actors involved in the biopic are Kevin Dunn – playing Apple’s chairman Gil Amelio, J.K. Simmons – playing Apple’s investor, Ahna O’Reilly – playing the role of Jobs’ girlfriend and also Arthur Rock, Giles Matthey, Elden Henson, Lenny Jacobson, and Victor Rasuk.
Now, it seems that the Jobs’ crew has reached India for filming the spiritual enlightenment period of his life. It’s stated that Steve Jobs has travelled to India in 1974 with his friend Reed in search of a sage Neem Karoli Baba (learning that he passed away) and afterwards to Hariakhan Baba.
Hariakhan Baba Maharaj is a Great One, said to have been alive for thousands of years, dwelling in various caves in the Himalayas, appearing sometimes among men to accomplish some particular goal but always watching over the welfare of mankind from the sidelines. Though many people saw him in both the 19th and the 20th century, his appearance was always that of a young man in early manhood.
His years spent in India overlap with his experience with LSD. Steve Jobs wanted to achieve spiritual enlightenment and India seemed the ideal place where that kind of state of being would be achieved. Not to mention that he shaved his head and wore Indian attire. In Indian Buddhist traditions, India is symbol of the centre of World that was regarded not as a physical place available for every man. Little things are known about his spiritual attempt but there are a few proofs from Pentagon about his experience with LSD, marijuana and hashish.
’It was a positive life changing experience for me and I am glad I went through that experience’.
‘I would ingest the LSD on a sugar cube or in a hard form of gelatin,’ he said. ‘I would usually take the LSD when I was by myself.’
