Mountain Lion 10.8 Available at the Mac App Store

The ninth release of the “world’s most advanced desktop operating system” is now available at the Mac App Store as download for $19.99. Mountain Lion comes with more than 200 new features and is available only as an upgrade from Lion or Snow Leopard.

In case you don’t have the latest versions of Lion or Snow Leopard, check out what you should do in order to upgrade to 10.8.

This time, Mac users will be able to purchase the new OS X only via the Mac App Store and not through CD’s or USB sticks. Mountain Lion’s price is $10 cheaper than Lion’s and a single purchase can be used for up to five Macs.

Mountain Lion 10.8 comes with the already announced iCloud integration, iMessages app, Notification Center, system-wide Sharing, Dictation, AirPlay Mirroring and Game Center. The Facebook integration is not available yet and it will be included with a future update to 10.8.

So, open the Mac App Store, click to purchase and let your Mac do the rest.
