Starbucks payments with Square (latest mobile payment solution)

Square is increasing its popularity as each day passes by and satisfies clients merely by swiping their credit card on the accessory bond to the iPhone. It’s compatible with devices running iOS 4.0 or later, that being iPhone 4/4S, iPod touch and iPad.

Now, it seems that Square has made an important partnership with Starbucks, providing quite a significant mobile payment solution appearing in 7,000 coffee shops nationwide. Square’s CEO, Jack Dorsey has made the announcement on Square’s website. He establishes a connection between Square and Starbucks, mentioning that both started poorly. For example Starbucks began as a single coffee shop in Seattle.

When Starbucks builds the Square Directory into their apps and in-store Digital Network, it gives Square new visibility, driving more customers to opt-in to Square. And with nearly 7,000 Starbucks stores soon accepting Square, these new payers will be able to find your business (including coffeehouses) and pay with their name, building community and creating value.
