WWDC 2012: Apple releases new Maps in iOS 6
The new maps in iOS 6 that are said to come along with traffic services and turn-to-turn navigation, just as predicted. Users may also cope with the map with the screen locked and still have accurate road tracks.
Siri couldn’t have missed from the new map app and it seems that Apple has integrated the virtual assistant too. So go ahead and ask Siri where you can find the nearest gas station while you are travelling and it will give you the best answers.
Apple has come with a new feature, called FLYOVER and also satellite view and 3D models for cities around the world. We could say that they kept a little of Google in their new app, especially Google’s 3D mode on Android.
