Dreaming of putting his hands on such a gadget, a motion graphics and 3D animation student that seeks to “make awesome looking stuff” has created a concept that is quite similar with a real commercial for a new Apple product. Power at your fingertips, the name of the iMac’s Touch concept is said to be running OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion and iOS5. The device is based on the original concept of an Apple patent published in 2010 concerning the iMac with adjustable “Flex base”.
One of iMac’s main features would be the presence of the virtual, personal assistant Siri. Not only that the user may have the possibility of performing with their finger right on the screen but Siri would also provide answers in a blink of an eye. Mind your own business at work or at home and merely ask Siri to do a job for you like sending an e-mail or calling a friend.
Vimeo has provided some of the concept’s specifications:
Retina-Display: The 27-inch iMac Touch features 4096-by-2304 HD resolution. The resulting pixel density — 174 pixels per inch — makes text and graphics look smooth and continuous at any size.
Siri: The intelligent assistant that helps you get things done.
Ivy Bridge: Intels new Ivy Bridge i5 and i7 processors.
Thunderbolt: Two Thunderbolt ports for high speed data transfer.
