iPhone 5 launch on September 12 in San Francisco (Yerba Buena)

The announcement of the latest generation of iPhone is closer than ever. It seems that Apple is planning in launching the iPhone 5 on September 12 at San Francisco, Yerba Buena. According to various sources, press members were sent an invitation with an “encrypted” message “It’s almost here” and the number 12.

If you were to take a better look at the invitation you would see a shadow with a 5, obviously referring to iPhone 5. This could be a hint pointing out that the new iPhone device would be called iPhone 5 and not the new iPhone. Due to the fact that the latest generation of iPad was called The New iPad, rumors have claimed that Apple would adopt the same strategy for the iPhone gadget.

The rumored September 21 may after all be the release date and on the 12 the big announcement at Yerba Buena.

iPhone 5 Features & Release date Rumors [Infographic]

The French Apple News & Rumors site, Nowhereelse.fr has provided an Infographic that gathers expected rumors and features of the latest generation of iPhone, namely iPhone 5 or New iPhone. The site has managed to mix different sources from popular editors in order to create a reliable infographic, namely Sébastien Page and Cody Lee from iDownloadBlog, Steve Kovach from Business Insider, Buster Heine  from Cult of Mac , Zach Epstein from BGR and Mikey Campbell from  AppleInsider.

Although the sources are usually reliable and provide accurate info, when it comes to Apple no one knows precisely what they would offer to users until the release date. Due to their hard terms and penalties they managed to keep features of gadgets and release dates under secret. The latest generation of iPhone is predicted by the majority to be launched on September, 12.

This is not the first infographic that the French blog has come with, also providing one for the current version of iPhone, namely iPhone 4S believed to be iPhone 5.

Someone, Somewhere Already uses the iPhone 5

It is said that Apple will release the next iPhone in mid-September or maybe early-October, but surely not later. But it seems that the iPhone 5 it is already in use.

A reliable source has sent TechCrunch a screenshot of an iPhone5,2 that popped in the server logs. This sudden appearance means that Apple is testing the next iPhone. Anyway, no one can say if this test will actually go into production.

Also, don’t rush to tell your friends that you have just discovered how the new iPhone will be called. “iPhone5,2” is an internal designation used by Apple for the tested model; iPhone 4 was named iPhone 3,1. And what if we are already using the iPhone 5 and that the next-generation iPhone will be called otherwise. The iPhone 4S is the fifth of the iPhones. What if Apple will name the sixth-generation iPhone just as “the new iPhone.”

The iPhone’s successful evolution from 2007 until today (The iPhone-era)

It’s clear that in 2007, Steve Jobs wanted to write history, to come up with something brand-new that would revolutionize the world of media. He may not have in mind the quote of the famous transcendentalist Emerson “Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail” but he surely wanted to create something that would last and make his name known, to launch him into immortality.

The original iPhone was released in June 2007 and by September 2007, 1 million samples were sold. Back then it was seen as a new toy that anyone should have and those that didn’t afford to buy one, dreamt of it. Statistics argue that the second iPhone, 3G, released in 2008 met success in a flash because it took 3 days to sell 1 million smartphones. In 2009, things were beginning to look brighter for the Apple Company but not so bright when it came to Steve Job’s health. Released on 19 June 2009, the next gadget iPhone 3GS managed to have the same amount of sale as in last year but this time in only 2 days.

Also,as expected, the year Apple invented the iPad was quite favorable for business. More precisely, in 2009, 600.000 samples were ordered before its release so the sale of 1 million smartphones was expected in that precise day. iPhone 4S is by far the smartphone that has enriched the Apple Company selling over 4 million gadgets in only 3 days after its release.

What can I say more, stay tuned for Apple’s next masterpiece release!

Foxconn Employee rumors about iPhone 5

Until now, Apple has maintained a habit in releasing its iPhone gadgets in June, for example iPhone 3G, 3GS and iPhone 4 were released in June and only the iPhone 4S was cast out in October.

Kotaku News comes with the following statement regarding news about the iPhone:

When a WBS reporter asked a recruiter at Foxconn’s Taiyuan factory about all the help wanted ads, he replied, “Now, we’re recruiting 18,000 people to make the Apple iPhone 5.”

The reporter noted that was a lot of people to which the recruiter replied, “That’s because it seems like it will go on sale around June.”

The interview was conducted from a distance, and it doesn’t look like the recruiter knew he was on camera and his reply is hardly rock solid.

Also Kotaku comes with more details from the human resource head from Foxconn’s Taiyuan, the factory that is said to assemble the next generation of iPhone and argues about hiring a large number of people, claiming that “We just got the order. It [the release] will be around October.”

There are a lot of rumors wondering around, so it only remains to see if we get our hands on the new iPhone gadget in June or October. Until then stay tuned on Appsrumors for more details.

iOS 5.1 update rumored to be released on March 9th

Many speculations about the date when iOS 5.1 would be launched, came out since the first, 5.0.1, update released for developers. According to YourDailyMac, Apple recently published 11 new profiles for different iPhone operators. The career profiles updates  are required in order to assure the proper network connection functionality for each iOS build. They were sent for operators in Japan, Greece, Finland and Sweden and seem to be compatible with iOS 5.1, being set to release on March 9. This could indicate that iOS 5.1 will be released close to that date.

This new version will be available on following devices: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, IPhone 4S, iPad, iPad2 and iPod Touch. There are also many rumors which sustain that iOS 5.1 update will be launched same time with the new generation of iPad which will likely take place early next month.

“If Apple were planning on having these ready for the weekend of March 9, it seems relatively possible that they could choose that date…perhaps with a catchy theme like ‘It’s time to leap ahead,’” said Joshua Topolsky from The Verge blog referencing the launch of next-generation tablets.

It is not known if the iOS 5.1 release will solve the battery drain problem so much complained by the users as the three beta versions released to developers showed no difference. Anyway, this update and the new iOS devices are expected to amaze and impress again the tablets world.
