Some sources report new data that can be thought as one more evidence of the fact that Apple will present us a next generation of iPad mini. According to the Taiwanese publication house DigiTimes, in the second quarter of this year, Apple cut volume of tablet suppliers to 10-12 million units. This may reflect the fact, that the company began to release output capacity for iPad mini 2.
According to the sources among producers, in April, the volume of 7,9-inch tablet supplies can be reduced by 20 percent and such tendency will be observed up to the end of the next quarter. If these figures are correct, the number of supplied tablets can drop to 10 million units by the end of June .
At the same time, there are other possible reasons for such Apple’s decision. Some are sure that it is due to the increasing competition of the 7-inch tablet based on Android, whose growing popularity makes Apple to reconsider their production plans.
It is expected that the second generation of iPad mini will get a long hoped-for Retina Display and will be available this summer with a new iPhone 5S and, as some supposed, a budget version of the phone. Well, all we can to do is to wait a few months to have this information confirmed or contested.
According to the latest rumors the much-desired iPad mini with Retina display may be(or may be not) launched in the second half of 2013. The sourse of such a predictions-Paul Semenza, DisplaySearch’s analyst. The main information his assumption was based on- supply chain data.
Thus the analyst found out that the new iPad mini will have 2,048 x 1,536 resolution( which is equal to full-size iPad with Retina display). It’s supposed that LG Display will produce the display to the new gadget. Besides, Paul Semenza mentions AU Optronics, Japan Display, and Sharp as possible candidates.
Such a change of course is a good deal. But it would be better to see the diference in the iPad mini’s thickness and weight.
The previous rumors said that the iPad mini’s Retina display will cost $12 more than the current display, increasing Apple’s cost per unit to $200.
What if Apple came with the idea of creating their own watch? Apple has managed to create many devices that chuckle over success and we believe that a watch would draw the fan’s attention quite easily.
The Swedish designer Andres Kjellberg has come with its version of iWatch, a concept that resembles quite well to an Apple product. If you were to see it on the market, you’ll have no doubt that it was created by Apple. The concept provides Retina Display, Video Recording, HD (1080p), Built in rechargeable lithium-ion battery, 16 GB storage, iTunes/ App Store, AirPlay, Charging via Wi-Fi, Synching via Wi-Fi, Three-axis gyro, Accelerometer, Proximity sensor and Ambient light sensor.
At first glance you could say that it approaches the iPod Nano’s design. It’s even more advanced than just a regular iPod nano, featuring Maps, iTunes & App Store. You could also play games, but at that small size of the screen it’s kind of hard to see things clearly.
If Apple were to come with such a gadget, it’s pretty likely that it would be something that your wrist needs for being a real Apple fan.
When Apple released the new iPad all developers were eager to improve their apps in order to support the revolutionary Retina Display. But developing for the new MacBook Pro’s OS X seems to be more challenging than developing for iOS.
The smooth, high-resolution display on the new MacBook Pro may give developers a rough time due a tough issue: how are they going to create a program that works and looks great both on Retina Display and on other screens?
First of all, there are the graphics and the text rendering. The Web is significantly larger than the small iOS, thus, also the Web browsers are plenty compared to those on mobile devices. Figuring out a solution for flawless graphics displaying on a wider and more powerful desktop screen, taking into consideration the diversified Web without leaving behind the other displays is the first and the toughest problem.
Also, bigger graphics require augmented page loading time. Therefore developers should find a way to equilibrate such impact.
Fueled Director Ryan Matzner, said that both developers and Web designers may handle graphics by delivering different CSS stylesheets to different browsers. Michael Gadsby, creative director at O3 World, said that developers here have already begun creating multiple stylesheets of graphics.
Apple has just released a new commercial that provides the features that made the new version of iPad chuckle over success. It was posted on Apple’s official YouTube channel that highlights the possibilities that one may encounter while working with the iPad, being able to perform both entertainment and productivity-related demands on the gadget, namely send a note, stay informed, catch a show, make your point, make a memory, make a masterpiece, read something, watch something and learn something. The iPad has all the necessary features for performing anything that the user wants to.
The commercial comes with the following statement “Do it all more beautifully with the Retina Display on iPad.”
“Do it all” was released at right about the time when Microsoft has planning to launch its own tablet, because the third-generation of iPad with Retina display was launched in March. Previous commercial are all about the stunning 2,048-by-1,536-pixel of the new Retina Display.
The news of a device based on the new Windows 8, called “the new Surface” was announced at an event at Los Angeles. Better iWork file Sharing in the new OS X Mountain Lion
The current issue that is reflected in both operating systems Macs and iOS is that there is no iWork syncing between the two platforms. Sharing files via iCloud could raise difficulty sometimes to the user because of the different file formats. An upgrade with automatic syncing via Documents in iCloud would come in July with the new OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.
Ditched transit directions in iOS 6 Maps
It’s stated that the new Maps app in iOS 6 won’t come with transit directions, an important feature that is still available on the current iOS 5 Google version. Apple has also ditched from the beta version the Street view.
How to make your Mac apps ready for the Retina Display
Your apps on the OS X Lion or Mountain Lion would look just fine with Cocoa and Quartz 2D graphics. All the user needs to do is incorporate graphic resources and realize transitions between the two display, Retina Display and average resolution display.
Flyover and turn-to-turn navigation to come on iPhone 4?
The two features from the new operating system iOS 6 are not officially available for iPhone 4 or 3GS and Apple wants some features to remain strictly on some devices. Take for example the case of Siri’s limitation to the iPhone 4S. Despite of what Apple wants, developers are struggling to discover the ways of limiting the restrictions in what concerns Flyover and turn-to-turn navigation to older versions of gadgets.
The new gadget is said to be thinner than Schiller’s finger, meaning 0.71 inches thin. One of its main important parts is the Retina Display, coming with 5,184,000 pixels. It’s stated that OS X Lion is shipped with the device but every single app has been adjusted and updates for taking advantage of the outstanding Retina Display. It offers the user Mail, Safari, iPhoto and iMovie.
Also Shiller came with good news for photography lovers and pretty soon an Adobe version of Photoshop will be updated for Retina Display. Not to mention good news for gamers, Diablo 3 is highlighted as being Retina ready.
This version of MacBook comes with faster quad-core processors (up to 2.7 GHZ, Turbo Boost up to 3.7 GHz) 16GB of RAM, up to 1GB of video memory, 768GB of Flash storage and for battery life Up to 7 hours of battery life and 30 days of standby. Other updates that are worth being mentioned are Bluetooth 4.0, Facetime HD, and Dual Microphones. The new MacBook Pro with Retina Display will be available for $2199.
It seems that the Mac Retina Displays are going to be one of the releases from WWDC San Francisco. As highlighted in the picture, apps on Apple’s Mac App Store received graphics with Retina-ready graphics.
The updates have been added recently, for example in the app FolderWatch that sync and mirrors documents and files automatically, provided the Retina graphics as a new element in the version 2.0.4. This is a clear proof that Apple will release new high-resolution Mac Retina Display at the WWDC. The conference is also predicted to provide iOS 6, OS X Mountain Lion, Mini iPad and many more.
9to5Mac argues that a new improved version of MacBook Pro is scheduled for this summer, featuring ultra-thin design, Retina Display and super-fast USB 3.
The new 15-inch MacBook is practically the prototype design of a thinner version of the old 2008 design. Unlike the old Apple gadget, this one loses the optical drive for having the possibility of becoming smaller. Although it does not have the same appearance as MacBook Air it adopts its keyboard design, namely the power button which replaces the disc eject key. As for the rest of the design it pretty much looks the same, charging and connection ports still along the sides and a glass multi-touch track pad.
It will provide Mac Retina Display, being defined as “jaw-dropping” and “definitely the most important Mac innovation in years,” providing the possibility of adjusting the sharpness and image sizes just as the user wishes. Also Retina Display settings will be marked with descriptions like small/ optimal unlike today’s Mac display settings with numbers and resolution size.
MacBook Pro is going to be the first device that would sport the next-generation connector so USB 3 will run on the gadget as a “complementto” Thunderbolt.
Dreaming of putting his hands on such a gadget, a motion graphics and 3D animation student that seeks to “make awesome looking stuff” has created a concept that is quite similar with a real commercial for a new Apple product. Power at your fingertips, the name of the iMac’s Touch concept is said to be running OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion and iOS5. The device is based on the original concept of an Apple patent published in 2010 concerning the iMac with adjustable “Flex base”.
One of iMac’s main features would be the presence of the virtual, personal assistant Siri. Not only that the user may have the possibility of performing with their finger right on the screen but Siri would also provide answers in a blink of an eye. Mind your own business at work or at home and merely ask Siri to do a job for you like sending an e-mail or calling a friend.
Vimeo has provided some of the concept’s specifications:
Retina-Display: The 27-inch iMac Touch features 4096-by-2304 HD resolution. The resulting pixel density — 174 pixels per inch — makes text and graphics look smooth and continuous at any size.
Siri: The intelligent assistant that helps you get things done.
Ivy Bridge: Intels new Ivy Bridge i5 and i7 processors.
Thunderbolt: Two Thunderbolt ports for high speed data transfer.
