1976 Apple 1 Vintage Computer on auction

Start biding on Sotheby for a vintage 1976 Apple 1 handmade by Steve Jobs and his associated, Steve Wozniak. The price for this classic computer starts at $180,000.

Apple 1 was Wozniak and Jobs’ very-first computer and it was also the first device that made possible the text typing on a screen through the use of a keyboard. The model set for auction is one of the 6 that still run today, out of the 50 models that were made. It has a system of 8K bytes, 16 pin with 4K of memory and a stripped-down 9-inch-by-15-inch (23cm-by-38cm) motherboard.

Though it works, the old computer is just a holdover, but I have no doubt that will attract the attention of lots of Apple enthusiasts or antiquities antiquaries.

The auction for the 1976 Apple 1 will take place on June 15 and the sale includes no monitor, no cabinet and no keyboard.
